Special Thanks to Great Plains Food Bank for Helping Make a Monumental Difference
From Patt Mabin, Founder of Pemmican Patty Food Company
I’m excited to share that we’ve just fulfilled our second large order for Great Plains Food Bank; 6,000 Bisonberry Blend bars are heading to communities across North Dakota. This is a meaningful step in our mission to make healthy, sustainable, Indigenous-rooted food accessible to those in need, all thanks to Great Plains Food Bank’s incredible support.
Our collaboration with Great Plain’s Food Bank began last year with their first order through the Local Food Purchase Assistance program. This purchase was pivotal, enabling us to invest in our brand and grow our reach. Now, this second order is helping us expand even further and develop new snacks to satisfy diverse taste buds, like our upcoming Sumac & Maple Syrup Bisonberry bar.
While their support fuels growth for our small business, their biggest impact lies in the contributions Great Plains Food Bank makes in the community. These bars will be distributed through their Backpack Program and Mobile Food Pantry program, providing essential nourishment to families and individuals facing food insecurity. Knowing that these bars offer a healthy, superfood snack to many in need is what truly drives our work forward.
The work Great Plains Food Bank does every day is nothing short of extraordinary. As the largest hunger-relief, non-profit organization in North Dakota, they provide food to a vast network of over 200 local food pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens.
To Great Plains Food Bank, thank you. Thank you for believing in us, for giving us the chance to contribute to something so meaningful, and for working tirelessly to make life better for so many people. We’re proud to stand beside you, to learn from you, and to continue strengthening our shared goals of making healthy food options accessible to people across North Dakota.
For retailers interested in purchasing Pemmican Patty products in bulk or think we’d be a great fit for a similar collaboration, we’d love to hear from you.
