About Us

“We strive to support healthy lifestyles, while preserving Metis and Ojibway traditions, one pemmican bite at a time!”

Patricia Mabin, Founder

Modern Day Version of Ages Old Recipe

Our vision is to become a broadly consumed, modern day version of pemmican, providing flavorful nutrition from natural ingredients and clean sources. We aim to bring pemmican back to its days of glory to protect, preserve and promote the knowledge of the past for generations to come.

Proud to be an “Indian Giver”

Our long-term goal is to become a self-sustaining, successful company selling a variety of pemmican style products throughout the U.S. and Canada. We plan to contribute a portion of our proceeds to tribal community colleges in the form of scholarships to support entrepreneurship, leadership, and cultural preservation. We also plan to support food sustainability and sovereignty with our Tribe through programs such as community gardens and a “keeper of the seed” program. Lastly, we seek to donate a portion of our products to non-profit organizations, as we did by donating our first 100 test samples to the Native American Development Center of Bismarck. The products were distributed to families in need of food assistance.
